On December 15th, the Gainesville and Suwannee Valley squadrons participated in the nationwide observation of Wreaths Across America by placing wreaths at the Veterans Memorial at Kanapaha Park in Gainesville. The ceremony was designed to coincide with one taking place simultaneously at Arlington National Cemetery.

Distinguished guests included Alachua County Veterans Services Director Jim Lynch, and State Senator Steve Oelrich, who gave a special address. The Colors were posted by the Florida Wing Color Guard. Wreaths representing each branch of service and POW/MIAs were placed by local CAP members. This marks the second year the ceremony has taken place in Gainesville.
