Members Receive Recognition at Wing Conference |

Several members of Gainesville Composite Squadron were recognized for their accomplishments at the 2006 Florida Wing Conference held May 5-7 at the Grosvenor Resort in Orlando.
The following members were presented with awards:
1st Lt Gene Smith -- Communicator of the Year, Yeager Aerospace Award
2d Lt Cynthia Sweitzer - Cadet Programs Parent Support Award
Capt David Graham - Yeager Aerospace Award
Capt Leslie Ballard - Cadet Programs Circle of Excellence Award, Grover Loening Award
In addition, the following cadets participated in the FLWG Academic Competition:
C/1st Lt John Samonas, C/2d Lt Daniel Freeman, C/2d Lt Stephen Freeman, C/TSgt Trixie Stengle, C/SSgt Patrick Freeman, C/SrA Lauren Shepard, C/Amn Connor Harker. Cadet Samonas was a member of the winning team, "Team UF."
Congratulations to all! Everyone who attended represented our squadron with distinction and made an outstanding impression on behalf of Group 2.
